During the treatment, highly concentrated light is beamed into the hair follicles. The pigment in the follicles absorbs the light, destroying the hair follicles. Although treatment with the GentleMax Pro is not completely painless (minor discomfort may be experienced), this treatment method is generally considered very bearable. This is partly due to the cooling system the GentleMax Pro has, which cools the skin just before the pulse is sent. For optimal results, you need an average of 6 to 8 treatments with at least 6 weeks between each treatment. The end result is that the treated skin is permanently depilated.
